About the event

Did you know that ASEAN holds the key to over 60% of the world's territorial waters? It's a staggering advantage, but it comes with its own set of challenges. Overfishing, habitat degradation, and marine pollution are threatening our precious marine and freshwater ecosystems.

That's why the ASEAN Blue Innovation Challenge is launched! This ASEAN endeavour is supported by UNDP and the Government of Japan to spark innovation for the blue economy in ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste.

Up to US$ 40,000 in funding is available for each of the 60 most promising ideas!

Startups, MSMEs, NGOs, CSOs, researchers and academia focusing on ASEAN and Timor-Leste are invited to join us as environmental heroes. Together, let's make a direct impact on:

♻ Climate Issues

🥤 Marine Plastic Pollution

🐠 Sustainable Fishery

🧳 Sustainable Tourism
