YECAP Climate Action Week is back with a week packed full of interactive, youth-led climate sessions online
The Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform (YECAP) Team is pleased to announce that the YECAP Climate Action Week (YCAW 2023) is back and happening on 16-20 March 2023.
Co-organized by YECAP Fellows from the third cohort with support from the YECAP Action Committee and YECAP Co-conveners, YCAW will serve as one of the preliminary events in the lead-up to the Road to 10th APFSD: Regional Dialogue on Youth Empowerment in Climate Action and the 10th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD).
This year, young climate enthusiasts and leaders from all walks of life across Asia and the Pacific can anticipate a week packed full of interactive, youth-led climate sessions online.
The Climate Action Week will feature the following key sessions:
Youth's Role to Protect and Restore Water-Related Ecosystems (SDG6)
Way to Increase Global Percentage of Renewable Energy and Climate Perspectives (SDG7)
Necessity to Upgrade all Industries and Infrastructures for Sustainability (SDG9)
New Urban Agenda: Action towards Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG11)
Way Forward to Establishing Partnership in Implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels in Asia and the Pacific (SDG17)
The Climate Action Week 2023 hopes to address the climate change reality that affects and threatens the future industries and infrastructures, the local initiatives and effective partnerships in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels in the region, and bring in diverse perspectives of people from vulnerable communities, including Indigenous Peoples. The event will also introduce participants to the Road to 10th APFSD: Regional Dialogue on Youth Empowerment in Climate Action, and how those interested can prepare themselves for YECAP's key annual dialogue this year.
YECAP Team invites youth to unite, network and engage in meaningful talks with climate experts, address the climate crisis, climate action and partnerships in implementing the 2030 Agenda in Asia and the Pacific.
